Le Dr McGinty a obtenu son diplôme de médecine en 1988 de la National University of Ireland, Galway. Elle a ensuite effectué une résidence en radiologie diagnostique au University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, où elle a été chef de résidence, suivie d'une bourse en imagerie de la femme au Massachusetts General Hospital. En 2000, elle a obtenu un MBA de l'Université Columbia. ​

Avant de rejoindre Weill Cornell Medicine en 2014, le Dr McGinty a travaillé comme radiologue au Westchester County Medical Center et au Montefiore Medical Center, où elle a également occupé un poste de professeur adjoint de radiologie à l'Albert Einstein College of Medicine. De 2010 à 2013, elle a été l'une des associées gérantes d'un groupe médical pluridisciplinaire de 70 médecins à Long Island.

Dr. McGinty received her medical degree in 1988 from the National University of Ireland, Galway. Prior to joining Weill Cornell Medicine in 2014, Dr. McGinty worked as a radiologist at Westchester County Medical Center and Montefiore Medical Center, where she also held a faculty appointment as assistant professor of radiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. From 2010 to 2013, she was one of the managing partners of a 70-physician multispecialty medical group on Long Island.
