Le Dr Paresh C. Shah est le Vice-Président Sénior du Groupe et Directeur des Opérations de la division NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell.
Il supervise le New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center, le David H. Koch Ambulatory Care Center, l’Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns, le New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan et le 466 Lexington Corporate Center. En collaboration avec le Weill Cornell Medical College, le Dr Shah est responsable de la planification stratégique, des opérations cliniques, de la gestion financière et de la garantie d’un soin de haute qualité pour les patients.

Il a joué un rôle clé dans la Task Force présidentielle sur les technologies de l’information en santé et a occupé des postes de leadership dans diverses sociétés professionnelles, dont l'American College of Surgeons, la Society of Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, et la Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), où il a siégé au Board of Governors. With a strong background in clinical surgery, Dr. Shah specialized in minimally invasive surgical techniques for gastrointestinal cancers. He has extensive leadership experience within academic healthcare; particularly in quality assurance, value optimization, strategic planning, and hospital operations. He has played a pivotal role on the Presidential Task Force on Healthcare IT and has held leadership positions in various professional societies, including the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), where he served on the Board of Governors. His numerous accolades include awards for Faculty Teaching, Excellence in Medical Leadership, and the Distinguished Service Award from SAGES.
