Le Dr Paresh C. Shah est le Vice-Président Sénior du Groupe et Directeur des Opérations de la division NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell.
Il supervise le New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center, le David H. Koch Ambulatory Care Center, l’Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns, le New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan et le 466 Lexington Corporate Center. En collaboration avec le Weill Cornell Medical College, le Dr Shah est responsable de la planification stratégique, des opérations cliniques, de la gestion financière et de la garantie d’un soin de haute qualité pour les patients.
Fort d’une solide expérience en chirurgie clinique, le Dr Shah s’est spécialisé dans les techniques chirurgicales minimales pour les cancers gastro-intestinaux. Il possède une vaste expérience en gestion au sein des soins de santé académiques, notamment en assurance qualité, optimisation de la valeur, planification stratégique et gestion des hôpitaux. Il a joué un rôle clé dans la Task Force présidentielle sur les technologies de l’information en santé et a occupé des postes de leadership dans diverses sociétés professionnelles, dont l'American College of Surgeons, la Society of Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, et la Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), où il a siégé au Board of Governors. Ses nombreuses distinctions comprennent des prix pour l'enseignement facultaire, l'excellence en leadership médical et le Distinguished Service Award de SAGES.
Le Dr Shah a obtenu son diplôme de médecine au SUNY Health Science Center (Downstate) et a effectué sa formation en chirurgie générale à Kings County Hospital et à la Lahey Clinic, avec une bourse de recherche au Massachusetts General Hospital et à la Harvard Medical School. De plus, il a suivi une formation avancée en gestion à Northwell Health, NYU Langone et à la Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.


Dr. Paresh C. Shah is the Group Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Division.
He oversees the New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center, the David H. Koch Ambulatory Care Center, the Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns, New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan, and 466 Lexington Corporate Center. In Collaboration with the Weill Cornell Medical College, Dr. Shah is responsible for strategic planning, clinical operations, financial management, and ensuring high-quality patient care.
With a strong background in clinical surgery, Dr. Shah specialized in minimally invasive surgical techniques for gastrointestinal cancers. He has extensive leadership experience within academic healthcare; particularly in quality assurance, value optimization, strategic planning, and hospital operations. He has played a pivotal role on the Presidential Task Force on Healthcare IT and has held leadership positions in various professional societies, including the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), where he served on the Board of Governors. His numerous accolades include awards for Faculty Teaching, Excellence in Medical Leadership, and the Distinguished Service Award from SAGES.
Dr. Shah earned his medical degree from the SUNY Health Science Center (Downstate) and completed his general surgery training at Kings County Hospital and the Lahey Clinic, with a fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Additionally, he has pursued advanced management training at Northwell Health, NYU Langone, and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
